The Yealink T46U empowers you to seamlessly transfer calls, ensuring a smooth workflow for you and your colleagues. This guide explores both attended (warm) and blind transfers, allowing you to choose the most appropriate method for each situation.
Attended Transfer (Warm Transfer):
An attended transfer allows you to speak with the recipient before transferring the call. This is ideal when you need to announce the call or give information to the recipient before transferring the call to them.
- While on an active call, press the Transfer softkey.
- Dial the 10-digit phone number of the recipient, or press the recipient's softkey if one is programmed.
- Wait for the recipient to answer.
- Briefly explain the call and confirm they are ready to receive it.
- Press the Transfer softkey again to complete the transfer.
Blind Transfer (Cold Transfer):
A blind transfer directly transfers the call without speaking to the recipient first. This is quicker but may be less courteous depending on the situation. It's recommended to use blind transfers sparingly.
- During an active call, press the Transfer softkey.
- Dial the 10-digit phone number of the recipient.
- Say nothing, just press Transfer again once ringing is heard.
Additional Tips:
To cancel a transfer and return to the original call, press the Cancel or End Call softkey before completing the transfer.
By mastering these transferring techniques, you'll enhance your communication efficiency and provide a more professional experience for your callers.
