8x8 offers you the flexibility to use your business phone service from a variety of devices, ensuring you stay connected and productive wherever you are. This article outlines the different ways you can access and use your 8x8 phone service.

1. Mobile App (Apple & Android):

Experience the power of 8x8 on the go with our dedicated mobile app for both Apple and Android devices. The app allows you to:

  • Declare Availability: Because who wants their cell phone ringing/dinging for work during hours we don't need it to?
  • Make and receive calls: Use your business phone number for calls, even when you're away from your desk.
  • Access voicemail: Easily check and manage your voicemail messages directly from the app.
  • View call history: Review your recent call history for easy reference.
  • Manage contacts: Access your company directory and personal contacts for quick dialing.
  • Meetings: By standard design, we use Teams for meetings, but 8x8 can handle meetings in similar ways. So, if you've anybody who can't or doesn't use Teams, use 8x8 to shoot a meeting invite instead!

Download the mobile app:

  • Apple App Store: Search for "8x8 Virtual Office Mobile" [link]
  • Google Play Store: Search for "8x8 Virtual Office Mobile" [link]

2. Web Portal (https://work.8x8.com):

Bookmark/Favorite/Star it. Access your 8x8 phone service directly through your web browser at any time. The web portal allows you to perform most actions available on the mobile app, including:

  • Making and receiving calls: Use your web browser to initiate and answer calls using your business phone number.
  • Managing voicemail: Listen to, manage, and save your voicemail messages.
  • Reviewing call history: View your recent calls for easy reference.
  • Accessing contacts: Search your company directory and personal contacts for dialing.
  • Features may vary: Similar to the mobile app, additional features might be available depending on your service plan.

3. Desktop Software (Optional):

For a more traditional desktop phone experience, your IT department can install a dedicated 8x8 software program on your computer. This software provides the same features as the mobile app and web portal, with the added benefit of a familiar desktop interface.
