This article will guide you through setting up email alerts for Robinson Park's building systems using the address [email protected].
- Office 365 (direct link for SMTP)
Some programs can be a little picky when it comes to email settings, how they're presented, and how old they are. If you're using a program that's modern, these settings will likely work without flaw using their defaults.
For others, you might need to try different combinations of ports, and security options until you find the perfect fit for your program.
Here's what you'll need to try:
- Server/Host:
- Office 365: smtp.office365.com -- OR --
- Barracuda: outbound.barracudanetworks.com
- Port: Try 587 first (StartTLS), then 465 (SSL) or 25 (Unencrypted).
- SSL or TLS/StartTLS: Enabled/Selected (toggle, or "play" with this one too along with ports, above). TLS is 587, SSL is 465, and 25 is unencrypted
- Authentication: Enabled/Selected (usually needs to be enabled so that "[email protected]" is sent to the server/host with password).
- Username/Account: [email protected] (tied to Authentication, as discussed above)
- Password: We'll send this to you in a separate email without any additional context to keep things secure.
* Italics denotes what should be considered "default"
HOW DO I GET THE PASSWORD?!
Email [email protected] to create a ticket requesting the credentials. Below are some quick mailto links that will auto-fill an email out for you (if your computer is configured to use them) to make sending the emails a bit easier. The contractor one requires a small edit for the building's name.
