Important Update: FCC Banned Security, Software & Telecommunications Equipment

The FCC recently banned certain telecommunications equipment due to national security concerns. This means this equipment cannot be imported, sold, or used in the United States (especially to government agencies). Existing equipment from these companies may still be used, but replacements must come from approved manufacturers.


MANY OF OUR BUILDINGS HOUSE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. So, Robinson Park will adopt and observe these bans accordingly. The reason why is because these devices do not meet the requirements set forth by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). In addition, the US Department of State has issued a ban for Kaspersky, their partners, and affiliates as well following Executive Order 14024.

  • Compare the list of banned makes/manufacturers with the name of the one you're reviewing. If the option you are reviewing is not named in the list of banned manufacturers and is not one of their subsidiaries, it's likely safe to use despite not being listed under "what manufacturers can we use?"
