To ensure smooth operations and clear communication, all technology-related requests for your building must be submitted by a building, or your direct manager.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Computer replacements or reassignments.
- Software or hardware changes.
- Does it have a cost attached to support? Manager approval required.
- Does it just need X changed to Y, no manager approval needed.
- Any IT support involving building systems or staff devices which need replaced or purchased new.
Confusion otherwise can arise when building engineers or other staff make changes or submit tickets independently -- especially when the building manager is unaware or unavailable. This leads to miscommunication, duplicated efforts, funds spent where not authorized, and delays in resolving issues.
To avoid this, we will only act on IT requests that come directly from the building manager. If you need something, please coordinate with your manager first. They will submit the request on your behalf.
This framework ensures:
- The building manager stays informed and in control of their site.
- IT can prioritize and track requests efficiently.
- Everyone is aligned on what’s being changed and why.
- Building finances are being handled appropriate for the building.
Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly.
